Visual Aids
Each room will be equipped with a laptop PC which will be used for all
presentations in that room. The presentation laptops shall be using:
• Windows XP operating system
• PowerPoint Version 2003 presentation software
• Adobe Acrobat Version 8 software
• Media Player 11 and Quick Time 7.2 video software
• DVD drive and USB 2.0 ports for file transfer
Each room will be equipped also with a data projector, screen, pointer and a
microphone.
Authors are asked to bring their slide presentation stored on a USB
memory stick.
If you need to use your own laptop computers, or If you need a Internet
connection available, pleaseplease ask technical secretary to check if it is
possible.
Check Your Slides
The Congress will provide a Speaker Preview room, where presenters may
check their slides on the laptops provided. Speakers are strongly encouraged
to check their slides well before their presentation.
Upload of Slides
Presenters must upload their slides during the break before the start of
their session.
Presenter’s Biography and Briefings
Twenty minutes before your session commences, you should meet with the
Session Chair in the room in which you will be presenting. You should
familiarise yourself with the audio-visual equipment and check that your
slides are uploaded correctly.
Size
The poster must be no larger than 90 cm wide x 120 cm high. Posters larger
than these dimensions will not be displayed at the Congress.
Lettering
The title and the names of the authors should be easily readable at a
distance of three meters. The text should be large enough to read from a
reasonable distance, e.g. by someone reading over another attendee’s
shoulder. Use upper and lower case for general content as the use of all-capital
text is difficult to read. Avoid using mixtures of type/font styles.
Title
The title should be the same as in the final paper. Affiliations and contact
details of authors should appear on the poster.
Attachment
You will have to stick your poster to a smooth surface. The congress
organisers will provide all materials to mount your poster.
Location
Poster boards will be located in the Exhibition area in main lobby of Hotel
Beatriz.
A number for identification purposes will be provided to you upon
registration. Please ensure that your poster is displayed on the correct
poster board.
Poster Set-up and Discussion Times
You will be allocated a space for you poster.
You are requested to set up your poster before starting scientific sessions
(see poster set-up time above).
Some posters will be selected for discussion. Please be available to speak
about your poster throughout your session (see poster discussion time above).
End of Poster Session
You should take down your poster promptly at the end of your session.
The official language of the conference is English.
